As always, our team at Gabby wants to express how much we appreciate the faithful vendors and partners our designers work with on a regular basis. Our partnerships are the foundation of our success, and it’s very important for us to recognize the partners and vendors we benefit and learn from every day.
This month, we’d like to formally recognize Design Chic — a mother and daughter duo hailing from North Carolina. Beth and Kristy Woodsen work tirelessly to uphold their strong belief that home decor is the foundation of life, and that creating a treasured space surrounded by people you love is the key to expressing yourself and finding meaning in life. We at Gabby definitely agree that personalized decor is much more desirable than items that feels stiff, cold and reserved.
The Woodsens adore the more whimsical elements in life, like candles, flowers and fine china. Their design team is all about adding beauty purely for beauty’s sake. For them, creating a beautiful interior is not about the size of your home or perfection in architecture. Rather, interior design is about creating a place where clients can feel genuinely at home. Their mantra — “orchestrating your ideal life, finding purpose, and becoming your best self all begin at home” — is something we feel proud to stand by.
Also important to note are the pair’s many awards and accolades for their interior design and design blogging. They were named winner of the 2013 New York Design Center Blogger Ambassador contest, as well as one of the Modenus Top 100 Interior Design Blogs. They were featured in The Enchanted Home’s “Behind the Blogger” series, and one of their most prized accomplishments is a mention in Meghan Carter’s book, “The Meghan Method.”
Back in May, Design Chic was kind enough to spotlight Gabby on their blog. They especially like how our pieces work together to create an effortlessly elegant design. We’re thrilled to be one of their go-to choices for high quality furnishings. We’ve worked hard to create classic upholstered items with our beloved clients in mind, just like our friends at Design Chic.
