The High Point Market couldn’t have a better name. Although technically named after the venue location — High Point, N.C., — this seasonal furnishing trade show is the “high point” for those of us involved in the creation, production and/or placing of home furniture and furnishings. This year’s autumn market will take place from Oct. 18 through Oct. 23.
Autumn 2014 High Point Market: Where Furniture Makers go to Recharge
As a furniture maker specializing in transitional pieces with a modern and eclectic twist, seasonal events — like the Autumn 2014 High Point Market — are instrumental in keeping us connected with what’s trending. Plus, it allows us to network with other professionals, as well as interior designers and clients who visit High Point from around the world. This market is a great way to reboot the system, refresh idea banks and recharge design batteries.
Here are some of the anticipated high points for this year’s Autumn High Point Market:
We get educated. There are a range of events focused on educating attendees on everything from how to increase sales to up-and-coming designers in the industry. There’s even an orientation seminar called “High Point 101” for first-time visitors.
If you’ve never been to High Point Market before, we highly recommend this seminar so you can make the most of your experience here rather than wasting time feeling overwhelmed or scattered. We’re looking forward to “Innovations in Interior Design+Architecture,” “Trend Insights: The Future of Interiors” and “The Mix: Blending the History of Eastern & Western Aesthetics into All-American Design for the 21st Century.”
We are social. Woven in the exhibiting, we’re also doing quite a bit of socializing. High Point offers a variety of networking events designed for industry professionals and passionate aficionados of interior design.
We are excited. What do you get when you combine more than 2,000 exhibitors from more than 100 countries in roughly 11.5 million square feet of showroom? You get a lot of proud and giddy designers excited to share their newest products, looks and innovations with enthusiastic furniture curators and collectors.
Gabby can’t wait to demo over 100 of our our newest products and furnishing designs at this year’s High Point Market. We’ll be located at IHFC W168, IH202 InterHall, which is right near Bus Stop Number 1.
