Gabby Donates to the American Cancer Discovery Shop

Gabby donated thousands of dollars worth of the company’s home furnishings to the American Cancer Society’s Smith Mountain Lake Discovery Shop in Moneta, Va.   The Smith Mountain Lake Discovery Shop is the only Discovery Shop in the country that is specifically focused on home furnishings, and is operated entirely by volunteers. The shop is open six days a week, and sells high-quality home furnishings to raise money for the fight against cancer.  In addition to offering merchandise, the Shop provides information on cancer and treatments for the disease.             Gabby has chosen Habitat for Humanity of Greater Birmingham as their charitable partner of the year. To begin this partnership, Gabby recently donated several thousand dollars in home furnishings to Habitat for Humanity’s Restore program.             Habitat’s Restore shop is located in Irondale, Alabama, and sells donated furnishings, building materials, gardening tools, and appliances. The funds generated by the store helps sponsor several homes for Habitat and partner families. Many of the items in the store are also used in the homes built by Habitat.
